Magic 3.5 Switched! –
I have added a switch to my M3.5 i also aded an LED to know when its on/off.
Ill elaborate this simple task later on tonight with pics. The Switch is for the MCLR so the chip receives power but its disabled to send any signal..
If anyoen plays online you are welocme to try this method and report back to us to see ho it works.
lets see ho wmuch intereste is there for the M3.5 switch..
congrats on finally getting it working.
is the LED inline or powered individually?
in parallel from the switch it self.. ill show pics tonight
Where can we get a picture of this switch???
i got a new digi camera.. will post some pics during the week..
there are other people that has posted pictures of the actual switch mounted on the console and pictures/diagrams for a magic 3 chip
yes for the magic 3 and not for the magic 3.5 or I 'd passed trough them...
i did post a pict/diagram of the 3.5 that im using..
basically i lifted pin 28 (mclr) form the board and wired the switch from the lifted pin.
Here is a pic/diagram for switching the Magic 3.5.
be very gentle when raising that pin from the board, it doenst take much.
The switch it self you can place it where ever u want it. i use one of the screw holes to get the wires outside and used hot glue to attach it to the case. this way there are no 'extra' holes in the ps2 and its easily remobable if it ever needs to be removed.
Also wired an led from the switch to make sure when the chip is on or not.
i hope it helps.
if i understand well, u unsolde the pin28?
Sorry if it's not a real english word i'm a frenchy ^^
