This seems to have gotten worse. I can turn on the ps2, but nothing happens. I cannot even get it to eject, but I can get it to power down. This has just started happening since I put in my magic. Ideas?

You have blown either the BA58 or BA66 or both. I did it myself. I am betting wires c and d bridged or atleast mine did. Pretty much if you wanna play your games again you will have to buy another ps2. Off chance you might have only blown the fuse but I seriously doubt it.
Sheiss...what are those? Fuses? It worked intermittantly.
Oh yeah...any place sell replacement boards?
Say...are those fuses, resistors, or caps? I have an EE buddy that can probably fix them.
They are integrated circuits. You can replace them but the cost is nutty. They are covered with a like heat pad type deal. (should be pink or grey) peel it off and you'll see em. They shoulc flank the dvd rom drive one on front one on rear on versions 4-7. 1-2 have one on the bottom of the main board and one on the other side. What do you mean by intermittantly?

I mean that it works/ed on and off. Like I would power cycle it and it would work fine.
ok so yes you can get it to boot games like anormal ps2 or no I have a door stop that will not boot anything or open the dvd rom drive? that is what i need to know.
No, it wont boot now, yes it booted last time I tried. Yes, sometimes before it would do this and I would just power sysle it.
I realized, I need to clarify what its doing:
Ok, I turn it on, and it doesn't output video or anything. It flashes for a second and thats it. I can power cycle it, as I said before. But, no eject.
