Help with modblak...
Did Modblak.rar code work directly with the photos of FranKieboy
magic_iii_V3_franckieboy_web.jpg on SCPH300004/G-OO7 PS2 with a SX28AC/DP and Murata 50MHz ?
Because now a have nothing on TV like no vidéo when i switch ON my PS2 ! Before everythink it's Ok why my Neo2.2 !
Perhaps i must swap A and Z
What form did you use- SS or DP?
swap resistor 33k with 16k?
I use Fluffy2 with PIC16F84A programed and IC-Prog1.5a and everything is Ok because when i switch ON the programmer the Green LED light twice and after when i read the SX28AC/DP the result is same as the modblack.shx file !
I put 2 resistor (15Ko+1Ko) on between pin 9 and point RST on PS2 mainboard. I put directly the 50Mhz Murata resonator on pin 27 and 27 and the ground of it on pin 4 like on the "Frankieboy photo V3".
I take more than 3 hours to install my chip with a maxi of care !!!
Point BCDGHI are very difficult to connect with my wrapping wires but i verify every connection with my multimeter after...
H E L P . . .
I forget infos.
Of course i use DIL/DIP package =SX28AC/DP. Not SOIC !
Find the install photo a use in attached file of FrankieBoy!
SCPH300004 V3 (GH-007) PAL
my diagrams in the blakcat modblak 1.0 thread and the modblak 1.0 code match exactly!!!
i swapped the pins in the diagrams, so you can solder 1:1 with my diagrams and it must work. i tested modblak 1.0 code and my diagrams in v3,v4,v5 pal consoles. a friend tesed the v7 with my diagrams. it is 100% working with modblak 1.0 code.
maybe your chip ist not programmed well. are the fuse + fusex the same?
to add stability, you can solder a 10 mikro Farad capacitor between +5 volt and GND.
I've tried modblack on my v7pal and it work very well with fuse HS2.
With HS3 => boot 8/10
With HS2=> boot 10/10
Also i've put a cap 10µF on +5 and gnd
I've tried modblack on my v7 pal and it don't work very well in the first time.
I've put a cap 10nF on +5 and gnd and 0,1nF on pin Z and gnd. Also, I've 33k resistor on resonator 50Mhz and 16k on pin reset. Now it work perfctly!!
Now also boot ps2reality (before don't boot)!!!
PS: (Sorry for may bad english)
i'haven't 33k in // with my resonator (murata) and my ps2 boot each time.
depends on resonator type. the 50.00 mhz from murata i use without resistor. only one resistor 16 k ohm in the reset line and a 10 uF Farad capacitor in Vdd and GND to add voltage stability.
HS2 or HS3 depends on resonator type and with my murata HS3 is ok. :) HS3 has more driver output then HS2, that is the only difference.
