The code relesed in these forums, does it work?
I was just about to give the go ahead to make boards for messiah when i stumbled across magic 3.
I want to chip my ps2 (sick of swapping). Can't afford the original chips. But through work might be able to get a working chip with all you guys & girls help of course, plz help.
I've read through the threads and after reading the 270 replies to magic 3 I got really confused.
I'm planning on buying a sx key. Cheap through work, but need to know that it works l
yes the beta code works on what seems to be V3+ pal systems and V3/4+ NTSC systems but on V7 NTSC it will only boot psx cd's it wont boot PS2 cd's dont know about dvdr's tho since i've had none to test with
v7 ps2 does work with cdr dvdr and psx... I installed it in my friends console a few days ago.. and by the way I use an sx blitz and it works like a charm, but they don't give you much doccumentation for ti so you're kinda on your own
welp dunno what to say then cause i got it in my V7 NTSC and it wont boot ps2 games (now i know 1st thing you'd think is that i'm having a wire problem) but afther checking the wires 3 times and with some code mod's using the source code i can get it to almost boot
it seems that the used OSDSYS patch from the magic2 is not complatible with my V7 ps2 which on a side note was picked up from new stock 3 days ago
so if u got your buddys working great
guess it just means theres 2 revisions of V7
or might be newer ones have some new bios or bios code in em that the patch code dont work on
tho board layout is the same as pic show for magic 3 install.
