you cant dont know why you jst cant
I would have thought you could definitely fit a neo-key (even if only as an internal mod). It must surely be as simple as connecting to the SCEx signal as detailed on any of the v7 diagrams for non-swap mods. Should be able to figure out the equivalent connection by the usb too, using a v5 diagram and looking at a v7 board. Think they should be very close.
I would also think the neo2.2 could be fitted, but without auto tray eject (i.e. no ea or dvdr support), but you would need to figure out the equivalent points on the v7 board.
However, there are no diagrams and all this is not done by anyone these days as non-swap mods are the way to go.....
Neo2.2 will boot PS1 backups, but not PS2 backups. You will get the red screen of death. These days the vast majority want a M3 (or similar) anyway, much less aggro...
hi
its not the problem to install the neokey.... i knoe where the sires should go... problem is i dont think it'll work...
i heard the new v7 double check the disk after you replace it with the action replay/region-x the ps2 will check the disk again after you insert the backup , not just when the action replay is loading...
this is why it wont work
Oh.... well ok, then I guess they closed the original hole altogether then..... I hadn't realised that.
Guess you are on to non-swap mod of some kind or solderless job.... (which I have never been too keen on).
