Will this work (SOCOM 3 password recovery)

OK. Like n00b, I forgot my SOCOM 3 password but luckily it's saved for auto login. My question is:

Can I use one of those fragjoy things to hookup a mouse and "highlight and ctrl+c" the asteriks? Then "ctrl+v" on the enter password box so I can see my PW?

If I sound like a n00b, flame me. Just thought that could possibly work.

If you do some searching there is actually a small program made to recover your password from the saved file, if you have a way to transfer it to your PC that is.

It was a tool written by me awhile ago:

It will read the name and password from the file fine, but the writing of a new user name and password to the save is still experimental.
