  1. #1 Where are my memory cards saves??
    gty Guest
I'm trying to copy over some memory card save's via ExecFTP but when I connect I have no idea where my saves are located..here is what is showing in flashfxp in /mc/0/ dir:
    BADATA-SYSTEM/
    BASLUS-20997/
    BASLUS-21045OPTS/
    BASLUS-21050/
    BESLES-50288SMCONFIG/
    ***-hdd-format/
    FAPLINK/
    SYS-CONF/

In most of the dir there are 3 files usually a file the same name as the dir for example in the BASLUS-21045OPTS/ dir there is a file named BASLUS-21045OPTS with a icon .sys and a view.ico
How am I supposed to what is from what?? But I also read the is a bug in ExecFTP.68 that can't read dir with 20 or 21 files in it or something is this causing my problem??

    thanks for any info.

Each folder is the save, BADATA-SYSTEM is your system config, BASLUS-20997 is looking to be Midway Arcade Treasures 2 from a quick google search of the slus number and so on..

In the folder you will find the data the game uses as it's save.
icon.sys should always be present (except in system saves), as should at least one icon (again, not present in system saves). The rest of the files are the actual save.

It's best to copy the entire folder across to be honest but some games require a correct date stamp (such as GTA:SA) and I hear that execFTP doesn't copy the time stamp so you'll have trouble restoring that game.

    gothi:
All save folders should have an 'icon.sys' file, except for PS1 saves copied from PS1 MCs (those only contain an 8KB save file, which includes a PS1-style icon).

The differences for the PS2 system save is that its icon.sys file is larger than normal, and the icon it refers to is one in the ROM, rather than a separate file.

    Best regards: dlanor

Argh, what was I thinking when I wrote that?

Of course system saves have an icon.sys, I know this, can't imagine what I was thinking about
