I've been a bit enthusiastic tinkering with my HDD and the new ULaunchelf that I stumbled at an age long question,..If I'm not mistaken I can use a PS2 MC to save PSX saves whilst using them on my PS2 Console yes?, if so...HOW?...Been trying to run several PSX games but to no avail the games say "Memory Card not Inserted" when I try to save, would sure appreciate any help! Thanks!

To save game progress in PSX games you need a PSX memorycard.

The PS2 memorycards use and encryption method called magicgate. The PSX games don't know the encryption so you can't save directly to a PS2 memorycard. It is possible though to backup the PSX savegames from a PSX memorycard to a PS2 memorycard with the PS2 browser.
