no i dont think so. when you hear of someone using one for the ps2 i believe its for the hdd and the emulations on the hdd.
well since i have to buy one i would like to one of those 32mbs cards. but ive heard that they can screw up the PS2. Just didnt know if anyone knew how true this was or not.
I've been using my 32Mb card for about 2 months now, and I like it so much that I 'm gonna buy anonther one. The only trouble I've had with mine it that some homebrew apps like PS2Menu are very slow to scroll through the menus.
My personal experience with non original MCs was not so good.I had in the very early years of ps2 an erased one with no apparent reason and with many saves inside so I steped over to the official side. Also the swap cd just to make it recgnize the system is a mess.Lately I have heard that Datel has cracked magicgate and produced some that do not need it but I have not tested it yet. What I do is use the official and when I finish a heavy game as Jack3 I transfer it to my pc pr the ps2 HDD so a second or a bigger is not needed.

OK thanks guys.
Very shortly an application for the O2Mod is going to be released which will allow htis with most older games. I'm not trying to advertise the O2Mod at all but I think this is very cool.
