Ok guys I?m trying to load the exploit onto my MC. I?d like to do this so I can store backups of my games on my hdd and run PS2 apps. I?ve tried the swap method with a Gameshark2 disk and a CDR using this method ( LINK ). I can?t seem to get any of that to work.

    So

Then my buddy came over with his EMS PS2 memory adapter. The issue with this software and hardware is that it will not load anything other then a *.psu or a *.pso file. So then we looked into the Westside converter and that does nothing for us.. it seems it cannot correctly convert non save games or something.. So now here we are with a usb cabe running into the EMS and I know there must be a way to get things onto the MC without using a swap trick.. Can you guys please help us?

Please don't flame me guys, I've tried everything and searched for everything.. At this point I'm tired and I want some sort of a direction to go in. I know with the tools we have it is possible.. we just need direction.

Funny thing is I also need to know what to put on the MC to format the HDD, then what to put on the HDD to load off of it and not the MC..

Most likely the EMS software looks for a icon.sys and the associated save icon. Most of the pre-packed exploits I've seen don't include an icon.sys and an icon. Without this, it shows up on the browser as corrupted data.

    look here http://www.ps2savetools.com/

Ok thanks for the help, I was messing with my save maker program and it added an *.ico or something when you press a button. The converter also couldn't convert some of the other *.xps stuff. Like some people have exploits packaged for xport etc etc and those didn't convert either. After I press convert I get a screen with some gibberish.. like a S then a cents sign..?

*Edit - To update with new info

This is the error I get.
    http://www.suprascene.com/tmp/westside_error.jpg

I tried using the save maker from save tools and I put in the icon.sys file and my.icn when you click new.. then added a few files to put on the MC.. I saved it as an *.xps file then tried to convert it with the westside converter but then I get that error message. It still makes a file, but then when I try to upload the outputed *.psu from the converter my ECM software (eps2link) ps2 memory linker says "Download Saver Failed".. so I dunno what to do.. it seemed like a good plan.. but it's just not working out. It seems like it should though.

just mail your memory card to someone who has it and can copy it to yours.
    "What year is it today?"

ÇÐ~kÂ?? - lol right, i'm sure I'll get this myself.

I can't believe there haven't been any replies all day.. I really thought someone would help out. I've done some more testing, I took my buddies MC with his BADATA-SYSTEM file. I saved it to my PC with the PS2LINKER and my EMS Memory Adapter. I then opened it in save maker and made no changes other then saving it as a *.xps file. Then I opened the westside converter and converted the savemaker *.xps to a *.psu file. I then used the PS2LINKER to upload the file to the MC over the EMS Memory Adapter.

After all that you'd think the BADATA-SYSTEM would work.. but it didn't. I made no changes to the original off of the MC other then converting it to an .XPS then to a .PSU then back onto the MC.. and it didn't work. Something is wrong with the savemaker or the westside converter, because what I'm testing SHOULD have worked..

    Thoughts..?
