Transfering and Editing PS2 Saves Through Network Adapter
Transfering and Editing PS2 Saves Through Network Adapter –

I burnt a disk with ExecFTP 0.68 and booted my PS2 off of it. Then using FlashFTP on my PC I could connect to my PS2 and see the Memory Card files.
Now I can copy all the files off the Memory Card to my PC using the FTP link, but I can't get any of the save editing software to open the files. Most are looking for an .xpo file which is made with Xport.
My question is how can I convert the saves to .xpo or some other compatible format from the Memory Card using the FTP link, or from the files I copied to my PC from the Memory Card???

Programs still use .xpo? That must be one hell of an old program, what other formats does it support? At the very least I'd hope it supported .xps which is an Xport v2 file.
Get yourself a copy of PS2 Save Builder and just drop all the files from a save folder into it and rename the Root/ID to the same as the save folder, now simply save in your desired format.

what do you mean with savegame editing programs
i just use a hexeditor to modify the ps2 saves and things went fine
just a couple of games have some strange protection
all others a doing fine
just copy the savegame via ftp to your pc and then load the save in an hexeditor look for your stats ,modify, create new checksum and transfer back to ps2
