I've got the same problem! I lost or misplaced mine a few months ago & I want to know if I could get the A-A Male to Male USB cable hookup to do the file tranfers from PC to PS2? From what I can remember this is what the Sharkport cable looked like. I still have the Sharkport 2.0 CD but no cable.
when i get my ps2 back.. i'll go out and buy a usb cable (they're only a few $$) and test it out if no one has replied by then.
I've taken a close look at the USB slots on both the PC & PS2. They sure look exactly the same(which is a A-A Male to Male USB hookup). I've searched over the net for all different types of USB cables & the only one matching the type needed for this is the one previously mentioned. A normal USB hookup(USB DVD burner, etc.) have the A Male to B Female hookup & will not work for the PS2 USB slots so I don't see no other type USB cable to work.
just cable or all (inc the sharkport thingy that connect 2 cables) ?
if it just cable, you can replace it with any usb cable.
If it's the old Datel made Sharkport then you can use one of these cables (I forget which one):
Prolific PL-2301 or PL-2302 USB to USB cable
If it's the newer Blaze made Sharkport then I'm afraid I don't know which cable they use.
