Hello again,
Just wanted to mention i got the sharkdrive for $35 (shipping included) and it also doubles as a SharkPort since it's 100% plug-n-play on comps. Its really a zip drive with a ps2 boot disk. Comes with a 100mb zip disk. Me likes.

Where did you get it?
I gots a question about that there drive, arrrr so I do. I have a USB Zip Drive right now, and I gots a GameShark 2.0. The boot disk that came with that rascal has a memory mgr on it...and the mem mgr has an option for shark drive.....arrrr...does anybody out there know if I can hook that barnicle up to me PS2 and use the mem mgr function to access it as the shark drive??? If not, I'll give it a whirl around and let ya know wether it goes down to Davey Jones' locker, or if it sails forth with glory of an Armada! Arrrr
AutoMX, can you send me the install file for the PC software? I reckon I can make a Sharkdrive to SharkPort converter but some of the SharkDrive saves I've seen are compressed....
Let me clarify:
My PS2 is JAP so i havent used this yet. To use it, the US/C boot
disc must be used, and i'm still waiting for my messiah2.
1. The manager disc is US/C, so better have a mod for other PS2s
2. The drive is Plug N Play on comp, in Win98 and later, you just
plug it in and it pops up as a drive in the list like H: or
whatever is after your IDE2 drives like CD.
There is no software needed for windows machines.
3. I'll check with the guy i bought it from to see if he has a steady
supply. If so, i'll resell them here to whatever price he agrees
to. I expect $35 to $40.
4. The PS2 saves the data normally in games to the ZIP. The MM
[Memory Manager] has a Crush and Uncrush feture that
compresses saves (in something like .zip format). This means
that you can backup stuff onto a comp and download saves
like with a sharkport but at $10 cheaper.
5. I don't have another ZIP drive but I'm pretty sure that not
every type would work. The sharkdrive one looks like a normal
ZIP 100 drive but has no mention of PCs or Macs anywhere.
Feel free to test out other drives, i dont mind![]()
If the resale thing goes through, i'll push to a fair price, i'm not
in this for money anyway.

Crap, thought there might be some PC software to accompy the drive, at least your explanaton of the PS2 software answers a question that was bugging me
The uncrushed saves I can convert to and from SharkPort saves so I'll add that to my 'programs to write' list but I'm not going any where near 'crushed' saves if the user can uncrush them
IIRC you can use ordinary 100 meg zip disks![]()
I looked around on the net for a while for that cd image but could not find it. If you could send it to me or put it up for download on the forum or on a server or something that would be great. I doubt that it is very big. I have a usb zip drive also, and i would like to be able to use it for my ps2 also if possible.
Wonder if that would work with that "test model PS2" that Z is selling over at that site? Since it doesn't support memory cards. He wants like 150 for it..
I said i got a SharkDrive for $35. I said i might sell but that went
bust. Next thing i know, my post is in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum?!!?

Admins and mods, please READ before moving. Thanks.![]()

It seems like there'll be no selling. The supplier is running out![]()
This makes ma a sad panda.
Oh well, it seems the SharkDrive has been discontinued. No one
is selling it and it came out in august.
I'll rip the software for you people
