I checked it out and there is no real problem, just a missing configuration step.
No amount of soldering could help your model PStwo to use HDLoader, since it lacks the necessary chip to expand it with IDE interface. Only the two older slim models (v12, and v13 are both SCPH-700xx) still had that, but later ones like your v14 SCPH-75004 and my v15 SCPH-77004 are all restricted to USB for HDD usage.Quote:
usb advance doesnt show on the osd, everything else does. since i have slim ps2, hd loader is no good. im not good at soldering.
I too put USBAdvance inside the INSTALL/ folder to have it copied to each new FMCB installation on MC (ends up inside the /BOOT/ folder), and I too get the same result you do, of having to configure the OSDSYS menu in order to see USBAdvance there.
The only entries added to the OSDSYS menu automatically are those that the developers planned for inclusion, which at present includes only the standard elfs for uLE, ESR, SMS, HDL, and the FMCB configurator so for anything beyond that you will need to run the configurator to add new items to the OSDSYS menu.
