Save game data to hd –
04-04-2006,11:36 PM
I was wondering if there was an app I could run on my ps2 so that I could have my save game data save onto my external hd. I'm using swap magic 3 plus with usb advance. I looked for tutorials on this and scoured forums but I can't seem to find one. Maybe I'm not using the correct terminology. But if someone could help me with this I would be most greatful. Thanks in advance.

If you want to move your saves to the HDD then just use something like uLaunchElf. You cannot make games use your external HDD as a memory card though.

download ulaunchelf
run it on your ps2(find a way, i never used swap thingie)
in ulaunchelf browse to memory card u want to save saves of(lol, that sounds weird )
copy them to your HDD and use MCPASTE(!) to paste them on HDD.
the MCPASTE command preserves the attributes of your save.
(wow, my english is getting better and better on this forum

Hello i want to save on HDD during game, not moving from MC to HD. Is it possible editing the game iso references to "mc0:/" to "pfs0:/" ?

it may be possible but you would have to edit values for all the games you play manually

Replacing values is not a problem for me, the question is what do i replace by what?

I guess the values in the main elf file and MCMAN.IRX MCSERV.IRX if present
but I don't know if it is as simple as replacing mc0:/ or mc1:/
