i'm sure at least some of you have read that entering a specific command in the KL.DAT file will allow for ps1 backup booting.

here's and example:

of course, it doesn't have to be assigned to the X button.

anyhow, from what i've read it's supposed to have been confirmed working on v4, v7, v9. i have a v7 and it doesn't work.

to be more clear it does reboot the machine and then show the PS1 splash-screen, but it stops there and doesn't continue to load the backup. btw, this can also be done (in the same non-working fashion) with cdloader. my question is then: has anyone successfully got this to work?? and if so, what version hardware do you have? unless i'm doing something wrong, i don't think that it works for v7's.
