  1. #1 Memory Card Exploit & Alcohol 120%: SEND CUE SHEET ERROR

I was trying to follow the instructions here:

    http://lookatthemonkeys.com/html/ps2tut.html

and it said that I needed to do the Memory Card exploit before proceeding found here:

http://home.rochester.rr.com/*******/exploit.html (I think you have to click on the blue exploit link to see it).

So anyway, I follow all of the instructions create a 260KB bin/cue set. I then try to burn it in Alc120% on THREE computers (2 dvd-rw/cd-rw drives and 1 cd-rw drive). They all say the same thing: SEND CUE SHEET ERROR..

Am I doing somehting wrong or do all 3 of my drives NOT support DAO/SAP?

    Help!

this is the wrong forum to be posting this in. you need to post this in the memory card hacking forum.

use nero burning rom (www.ahead.de) to burn your exploit install cd

Sorry about the misplaced thread -- can a moderator move this?

I tried nero, but there is something wrong with the BIN/CUE that cdgenps2.exe is creating. I'm running v2.0 -- is that the latest?

I attached the bin/cue it generated (319kb). It mounts fine in Alcohol, but won't burn.

not sure if this is exactly the problem but open up the .cue sheet in notepad and when it says the name of the .bin file make sure it is just the filename and not any directory ie "c:\ps2game.bin" change it to "ps2game.bin"

    it's like that allready, sockerboy

your image is fine langonx, afaik... the latest is v3.0, but that shoujldn't make a difference

the problem is with alchohol. don't use it. use nero. or burn at once. or anything else :P try different programs :P send cue sheet error? don't even know what the hell that means, but it's definitly a problem with your program, not your image.

btw, why don't you pack your ps2menu-k? heh.. you can get it down to around 200kb as opposed to 400kb :P use ps2-packer.. or just download the compressed version from my website.. www.hypersonic.tk

your image is ok, burned it using nero 6.3 fine. not sure if you really need system.cnf in your files directory seeing as you have got it in the root directory where it belongs.

Your problem lies in the fact that Alchohol 120% is attempting to use Session at once mode (SAO) instead of Disc at once mode (DAO/DAO96). You also may have a shitty burner that only supports SAO (I've got one of those, it's absolutely useless).

Use nero, blindwrite, or fireburner to burn your CD image.
