    memento has no relation with psx games.

    If you want to play your psx backups without a modchip, you can only make cogswap.

    The FF games let you save before changing discs, which allows you to fully play using cogswap. That doesn't aply to MGS, which the only way to change disc on a PS2 is either using the original disc 2 or having a modchip.

    @fortune2k & youngchulo:
    Apparently you guys didn't understand what suloku told you earlier, so I'll emphasize it again.

    Memento has NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER for any PSX games at all.

    Talking about finding a list with PSX games compatible to Memento is nonsense, since Memento is compatible ONLY with PS2 games. And the same also applies to ESR.

    ESR and Memento both use DVD-Video format to make the CDVD processor (aka: Mechacon) allow PS2 backup discs to be read, but in PS1 mode the console is unable to read any DVD discs (even PS2 originals). So it is impossible to use the ESR/Memento methods for PSX games.

    Best regards: dlanor

    Memento is NOT worth the money at ALL!!! Its compatibilty sux and can't do PSX like you want to. Don't waste your hard earned money. P.S. there's been no support since early fall '07.

    So I have a question! In FF 7 you can save b4 you swap the discs, but in MGS I think you can't! Does that mean that MGS will not work w/ PS2PSXe?
