max drive + hdloader

I'm not sure if this info is already posted somewhere (or if I'll get banned for posting this) if I'm violating any rules of 'politics' please delete this post.

the ps2 max drive startup disc CAN be made into an iso or mdf with alcohol120% and loaded onto hdloader... (no compat mode needs to be set)

and IT WORKS....

problem is.. the 800mb iso image is somewhat big to load on hd considering the only function it has is to extract your save files (not to mention can't really hack cuz ps2savebuilder program has no support for it it)


anyways... just wanna throw this info out. hope it somehow contributes to this cool community of ps2 gamers.

If you have memory card exploit working, then you can just put ExecFTPS on your memory card and FTP your memory saves to/from your PC, or run nPort to get memory saves directly from the memory card.

You don't have to sit for hours waiting for it to read the disc with errors on it.

Just drag all of your files minus the BIG.DAT file to the desktop. Create a 10 MB buffer called 00DUMMY. Create an image with CDGen. Burn your backup copy and load to HDL. So much less bloat and better loading times.
