how to format/erase AR Max 8MB MC

Hi, I have non-modded PS2 with memory card exploit with 160GB HD. It is working fine under latest patch. I bought AR Max that came with 8 MB memory card. I didn't realize that the memory card can be only seen as long as AR Max CD is in PS2!

I bought this package just to use memory card function mainly but ... now I am stuck with this stupid invisible memory card only for backup

I tried memory card killer, etc but the problem is no ftp nor any other PS2 program can see this card to erase or format without AR Max CD in PS2.
I am open to any suggestion except refund idea (I can't go to the shop because I moved too far away recently

)

i would love to know this too, i have a max memory(i think) that is basically the same thing and i didn't know you had to load the disc first... :P it is basically useless for what i wanted it for if i can't make it look like a readable memcard
