help with cogswaploader elf

Im trying to boot a backed up game for the ps2 using cogswaploader in my independance exploit but i dont know how to use it,can someone explain to me how to use it please? and wich kind of games can it boot like psone games or just ps2,thanks in advance

1. After you load cogswap, eject the tray using the button and put in a high TOC game (GTA:VC, DMC3, etc.)
2. Close the tray.
3. After cogswap recognizes the disc (blue for PS2 cd, yellow for PS2 DVD) use the card swap trick and switch the disc.
4. After closing the tray, press X and it should turn purple and say "Use cogswapper".
5. Press X again and enjoy your backup.

didnt work,perhaps because its a japanese game the one im trying to play
