GTASA, censor remover –
This program from PS2 Saves will allow your game saves from San Andreas to be able take off that damn censor and play that interactive hot coffee scene. I have used execftps to extract the folder from my memory card. I updated/patched my game save with this file and now I would like to upload/transfer it back to my MC, without having my gamesave being 'corrupt'. I tried using execftps to just re-send the files back over to the same folder, but they are corrupt now. Do I need to use something else (Xport, AR max, etc)? I have tried using the search, and reading thru people's posts about similar situations, so this is why I posted, thanks in advance!
You cannot use execftps. it will corrupt your save. best way to transfer game saves is uLaunchelf in my opinion. use the mcpaste option.
I covered this in the help file that comes with GTA: SA Censor Remover
use the 'homebrew' tools such as nPort or execFTPs to transfer your save, this will make the save corrupt, see below for more details.
Unoffical LaunchELF (AKA uLE and uLaunchELF) now has a compatible function to copy saves to non-memorycard devices called mcPaste. Using this function it is possible to transfer the raw GTA: SA save to your PC and drop the file onto GTA: SA Censor Remover, skipping the instructions involving PS2 Save Builder.
PS2 owners cannot use the following devices/software for transferring the GTA saves: nPort, execFTPs, Xport (PS2 disc version 2.22 or below), Sharkport (PS2 disc version 2.22 and below), Action Replay (PS2 disc version 2.34 and below) - DO NOT USE THESE PRODUCTS WITH YOUR SAVE
I used launch elf, then patched it, and execftps it back over to my mc. worked like a charm.

Do you guys also know that you can replace the script.img in the ps2 version with the one supplied for a pc patch? Then you switch the censor flag on your save game, too...Then you don't get stuck in the "invisible box" afterwards, AND you get the fullynoodmodels of the G.F.s hidden in the ps2 version's code. Of course if you disassemble the original ISO, locate and delete the old script.img, replace with altered one, and recomplile the ISO it WILL work off of the hard drive, but NOT off of disk anymore. I did this by accident and just wondered if anyone elso has tried it this way...
NO i havn't but will do now,
also i got the 2.1 version is this the one your talking about, will try it noce one and im guessing i dont mess up my game save, or do i have to start a new one...anyway cool thanks
