Hi all, I´m planning on buying one of these http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...games&n=507846

apparently they are the gate crusher type(no boot cd required). Anyone with these cards have an opinion on them, do they really work, no need for using the boot cd every single time? The opinions on the amazon description dont seem to fit the fact that they dont need a boot cd!

The PS2 version Ill be using for this is v7. Thanks all!

Yea I have the 32mb one. It's pretty realiable, haven't had anyproblems with it and it works like it is supposed to, without using a boot cd. It's a good investment IMHO. So since you asked I recommend buying one, I myself couldn't wait til they were released. It's a shame a lot more people don't even know they exist.

Thanks for the reply, Im gonna wait a little bit cause I did find some people with problems eventhough they do work without boot cd. Problems with memory loss and stuff like that.

Does indeed look like a product that could be revolutionary...i guess.

I've been using one for 2 or 3 months now and I love it so much I just got another one a couple of days ago. As far as saves, mine works perfectly. The only problem that I've had is that a with a few exploits that have menus, scrolling through the menus is very slow. It must be the card because others have had the same problem. Other than that they are well worth it.

I too have been using mine for several months with no problems at all. This is by far one of the best investments you can get for your ps2. It's a lot easier than switching memory cards all the time and trying to remember what games you have on what card.
