I have a game save for the Japanese version of Dead or Alive 2 (regular version, not Hardcore version).

I was wondering, is there a way I can get this game save to work on Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore, US version?

I tried using a program called ps2sidc148, but when I try to install I get all sorts of errors.

    Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work. Is there anything else I should do with a hex editor maybe?

Not really, at a guess they changed the save format in between versions (added, removed or reordered data) so unless you compare the two and can figure out the differences then it's not looking likely that you will be able to convert the save.

Hmmm. I was hoping to use a program called Save Slicer to find the main differences, but even that program will not run and gives me errors.

Are there any programs like Save Slicer out there that actually work?

I would use PS2 Save Builder to extract the data. To be honest I think you may be on a road to nowhere though
