Cheat codes without a cheat device?

Ok so here is my current project:

I want to unlock the hidden song Tripolette in Guitar Hero without using a cheat device (I don't feel like spending $20+ on a single song).

I have a soft-modded ps2 with an hdd in it, a way to move files around (flash drive + ulaunchelf, execftps, etc), cheat codes, and guitar hero in ISO form.
The cheat codes for codebreaker, action replay, and gameshark are here.

First, is there a homebrew application that might make this possible?

My theory is that it is possible to hack the ISO by hex editting etc, which i'm not afraid to do. (isn't this how the GTA:SA hotcoffee mod worked?)

Can anyone share any insight on this?

Btw, you lose functionality of the song "Guitar Hero" when you activate the Tripolette cheat, so it's kind of pointless to patch the .ISO, even if it were possible. Perhaps contacting the person that made the cheat could lead you in the right direction on what needs to be hexed?
