Boot PS2LINK directly using mem card exploit?

i am using the memory card exploit on a non-mod v9 ps2, and i've tried many times to get ps2link to boot directly when i put in my ps2 disc, i have had no luck. it works in its own separate folder which i called PS2LINK(on the memory card), but when i move all the necesary files into the BADDATA-SYSTEM directory and change ps2link.elf to BOOT.ELF. it boots up with the ps1 disc gets as far as listing the ip, subnet mask and gateway, but then it says unable to open module, any help on how to boot this directly would be great

Have you tried the same thing using Pukklink? It basically does the same as ps2link.
