I am on Rebug 4.21 Rex with III(downloading SA), However I am puttin it on OFW and the I data transfer and simply activate the second CFW online. Rebug will spoof to 4.31 with the toolbox.
I also took a run at modding it, well the param.sfo anyway. I tried enabling the ps remote play and guess what happened? Changing that around gave a black screen, even when I put the original back. Have to do another transfer when SA is done anyway, but weird.
so you're downloading the games onto an OFW (4.31?) console then transfering them to a 4.21 CFW (Rebug REX) console by spoofing the firmware version to 4.31?Quote:

I know of many that tried obtainin III through reactPSN. All the steps worked but when they tried it was nothin but a black screen. We were all wonderin why until PropJOE informed us all.
He said no PS2 game will work on a CFW ps3 because of the ps2emu.self. No cfw dev has cracked signed it er whatever must be done with it.
But I had it by activating I second console. I played it right after...only after tryin to change the param a bit did it become unplayable.
I remember I activated and tried it and the first time it did not work, second time it did. This was all on Rebug 4.21.
Guys check out this thread on PS3hax.net they're talking about getting San Andreas working on CFW, seems the problem is more complex than i originally suspected lol, i assumed that since people were able to log into PSN on CFWs that at least one of them would have kept the appropiate stuff intact that allows PSN games to work but i'm guessing its got something to do with DRM or encryptions...
Also thanks for your earlier replies on the subject Sith & Jumper, i'm still not entirely clear on what to upgrade to, i'll leave it for now as i'm relatively certain the issues will be resolved soon, i just hope Sony doesn't f@#k up the ass and release yet another damn firmware which would affect our ability to access PSN and to get the game... wound like a spring, i wana get this game but i have a god awful feeling that sony are gonna get in with the BS before we get a chance to fix it
btw on a side note can i ask what do you think of my signature? i made it a couple of months ago

I honestly tried to play GTA SA for the second time (on my ps2 a while back) try to relive the nostalgia but I cant.... it's just too different

Works with ReactPSN on Rogero's newest one. Rebug 4.21 ps2emuself is broken? Wow!
PropJoe was right as always.
Could that be is what giving problems after I activated III and played it(now it is unplayable).
Tomorrow i'm gonna pick a firmware to upgrade to (i'm thinking i might go for Rebug 4.21), check my bank balance and perhaps try getting GTA III, hopefully i won't brick my PS3...
Btw the sig was really easy to make, in Photoshop pull out the Gradient tool and set the Mode to "Difference" then drag gradients here there everywhere on a blank pic and each time a gradient overlaps the colors switch each other around in the overlapping area, then the GTA letters can be obtained by finding a font with them all in, create the word out of GTA letters (in a new layer or image, fill the word in with white, like in your sig Native) then scrub the white out so its transparent, add a background color around it then overlay it on the color mess you created with the gradient tool...
Dunno if i'm breaking forum rules there but i promise its a one off, i'm just too proud of my sig and wanted to share how i made it...

Ps2emuself only works on Rogero until a Rebug update.
Then i have a dilemma i want to see what Rebug could do for the modding scene, but I also don't have much patience i wanna play GTA iii again.. I do however have the PC version and a PC compatible xbox 360 controller I think I'll just go for Rebug 4.21 save myself some money for now and just play the PC versionQuote:
