GTA V News - Release Date 9.17.13

The GTA Team have made an announcement on their website today.

Dear all,

Today, we have an official release date to share with you: Grand Theft Auto V will arrive in stores on September 17, 2013.

We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.

To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September – we thank you for your support and patience.

When they say, "...standard we and, more importantly, you require", I cannot help but wonder if the "you" they are referring to is the our own GTA Mod Team... hmmm

same here, all those websites that were causing hype i feel that they need punching now, coz i thought April will come i can buy it, play it then mod it, now i have to wait five extra months

but i guess its good news for gta 4 modding scene ... we have another 5-6 month ahead of us

dude don't say that otherwise it will 2015 before we get it, after 12 years of making these games they should have improved production time

actually i think its part of their marketing plan ... they create a hype and sales pre-orders for about half a year , while we are waiting they release other gta related product ( gta 4 ultimate box set , gta sa psn , gta vc psn ) i bet you are starting to see the big picture .

Hmm maybe time for another gta4 title update I'm skint at the moment anyway so it's not a bad thing.
