[REQ] - Need testers with 2 ps3 and data transfer - READ

HELLO

Ok , I'm trying to put my theory into practice of running "re-signed eboots" that have been signed with the newer found keys on latest FW without jailbreak. What I need is some testers that are willing to do install my pkg file with the GTA game eboot and transfer your USRDIR from your own copy of GTA IV to the hdd if that is you keep reading...

what you need:
1- Ps3 on newest OFW
2 - Ps3 on 3.55 CFW
3 - MultiManager or FTP client to transfer data to your ps3 hdd on CFW
4 - Copy of GTAIV does not matter what region
5 - Have some knowledge about Data transfer/CFW/Filemanager/ and to be able to trouble shoot small details on your own but I figure your up to the challenge if your modding games (lets hope)

What I have done with this is edited it to run from HDD instead of BDVD like you can do now but the difference is the eboot has the latest found keys (3.60)
NOTE: this will not boot on 3.55 however you need 3.55CFW to install the pkg file and data transfter

What I need you to do... in simple steps:

1) On your ps3 that has CFW install my download PKG from a memory stick
2) rip your game to HDD / or if you have done this continue.. GTA IV ONLY!
3) enter your file manager / FTP client
4) Create a FOLDER called "GTAIVGAM" on your dev_hdd0 in the root of the hdd.
5) transfer your USRDIR folder from your game to the GTAIVGAM folder you just made.
6) after you are done with above now do a data transfer to your OFW ps3 with new FW update and when its finished try to launch the game
if its all done properly you should have the game running on latest FW without disk

or if not maybe the key is already Black listed like the 3.55 key was.. thats why this is a test
NO GUARANTEES!!!!!!! Do this at your own risk!! you don't run the risk of a brick but I am just covering my azz.

if this works I will do the TBOGT for who do not want to buy the DLC for modding but have the disk .. maybe even get an filemanager working so we don't have to data transfer mods.. 1 step at a time

No requests ATM just test and report your experience and I will try other things.

I'll give it a try tonight, I've tried alot of things with Data Transfer but the only things I got to work were PS1 titles. Interesting idea with the 3.60 keys!

hope it works , that will at least open up a window in the meantime before 4.21 cfw and not just for gta.

Damn it didn't work. Do you think there could be a white list in the firmware with corresponding keys, I was thinking that maybe we could get a PSN link for a game and get the param.sfo without editing it at all and then sign the game with the same keys as the package.

Edit: maybe you could try different config's for game fixes and upload them all, then I could just install them all without worrying about the rest of the game files and then we could see what happens, if we get the 80010017 error then it's the eboot problem but if it black screens or kicks back to xmb the game might work.

This "test" is not anything new or unique ... save yourself some time and learn why it is not working ...

any value to 3.60 keys??

Or you also buy Grand Theft Auto: Episode From Liberty City from psn store and then add mods to tbogt and tlad.
