I just deleted my game data and ran the game without any patches and it crashed when X = 999.4590. So it must be a bug in the GTA engine. I suspect its the draw function: DISPLAY_TEXT_WITH_FLOAT that they fixed the bug in and not anything to do with GET_CHAR_COORDINATES though.

want to look at typecasting? perhaps we could get it sorted by turning the float into a string

If we where coding in normal c I would. But doing it in GTA's c is more trouble than its worth to me. I may just declare the unpatched gta as unsupported by modmanager/garage. I just noticed the examples menu in modmanager crashes without the patch for some reason too.

Or I may try looking into what gta patch fixes the -1000 bug but still allows common/ps3.rpf modding. Because thats the reason most don't use the 1.06 patch.

ok, i'll look into it then, i foresee a lot of problems if it isn't sorted

alright , this fix my issue with XYZ coordinates in alderney ... i can now do " prison break " theme gang-war and lost biker gang-war.

are you saying the relative position idea using the offset native was enough to fix the coords displayer??

no , i meant i can now get my coordinates using patched version of Three-socks PKG ... he reported it working before i could do anything.

the offset native would have added +1000.000 to diplayed coordinates , would have been a " work-around " the actual problem . but since i dont care using patched version , getting alderney coordinates is not a problem anymore .

as for looking into patch to see fixes done and trying to find proper solution to this ... you and Three-Socks seems to understand all this way better than i do .

Gang-Wars Minigame 2.0 :

- script examples for all official gangs in game
- gangs now have individual colors ( blips & fake network name )
- new feature : Gangs Driveby Cars & Bikes
- new feature :Gang Roof Snipers
- new feature : Quit Gang-war button press activator ( hold DPAD UP and press TRIANGLE )

2.0 is still not perfect , i already noticed a few bugs that will need to be fixed ... and i plan more things to improve it , so this is not final version yet .
also , i didnt had time to do videos for new gangs & new features yet ... ill try to do so later today or tomorow.

Gave you some more room to work with ;) Keep up the great modding!

videos will be done in a few days , i tryed to record some today and seems i to have a problem with my capture card or video program ( i get only sounds with a black screen ) im now trying to find out whatever is going wrong ... a few days ago i played around with many settings trying to improve video quality , i must have done something wrong somewhere .

btw , i said " a few days " because weekend is over and i get very little freetime during week , so ill do my best to do them as quickly as possible.
