Ped Spawner –
Hi, regarding the Latest trainer source code, i compiled it ok but i'm having problems getting the ped spawner to work properly. They spawn ok but just stand there doing nothing. The source looks like they should follow you about, seeing as they're in the same group i think. I had to fix the CREATE_CHAR native as it was set to spawn the model Bgroup, which wasn't right. But yeah just trying to make them follow me (body guards) if anyone has any pointers as to what is wrong.
It's broken cus I couldent figure it out , I think you have to also play with TASK natives to get them to do much.. They do protect you and will shoot at cops shooting at you .. other than that I haven't touched it..

theres more of course you'll have to play around but im sure this is all it needs.. they are like computers and they wont do anything unless they have some direction.

Thanks, that's great, i'll give it a try. It's great to find someone that helps this way as most don't like sharing information when it comes to source code, apart from Threesocks that is. I have learned a lot from his code repository, and indeed yours, though i do have basic C understanding in linux.
yeh once you get into the basics of coding and how to utilize the game natives you can do some cool stuff.. I was playing around with GET_CHAR_SPEED and using it to warp me into a car if i was running and then APPLY_FORCE_TO_CAR when I got at an even higher speed to give it the boost effect.. (which ill release when its done) but the possibilities are there you just gotta be creative!
I had a quick mess with the ped spawning but i can't get them to do anything, it's so frustrating because a user on Se7ensins called Evade got them working as peds that follow and ride with you. He hasn't released any source but i looked through the native calls in Scotoolbox and they are in the exact same native call order as your source, so i'm a bit baffled. Also, he's not made any TASK calls at all so i don't know. What does the APPLY_FORCE_TO_CAR do? i can only image some sort of vehicle speed increase, sounds good though and look forward to it
Just to change the subject slighty, have you seen the Nemesis mod where the player can actually lift cars up all around him by just moving his hands up, sorta like the Yoda character when he lifts the ship out of the swamp bog, really impressed with that.

I've managed to get the ped as a bodyguard, i changed the relationshiplvl as follows SET_CHAR_RELATIONSHIP(gameped, 5 , Rgroup);. Starting from a new game with the roman taxi, the ped started to shoot roman but wouldn't shoot me, whatever i did to the ped. Also if i drove away with roman in the passenger seat the ped would run towards us shooting until a certain distance was reached then the ped would stand and wait like before, until i got closer again and then it would start shooting at roman again. One other thing also, if i spawned a few other peds, they would shoot each other as well as roman, but never me. I'll do some more messing
