I have a few questions about this?
I have had issues with a modder administrated by Emanuel in his XMC menus.
For no reason this administrator floats lobby's and freezes any modder in the lobby and sometimes the entire group.
This administrator is not singling me out. the amdmin is freezing randomly freezing from the teenth of a second they enter the lobby, and see any modders. This has been verified with many other modders that I have talked to that night.
I noticed if In openiv I can open the .sco and edit but the main menu.sco I cannot open like xmcmain.sco.
Do I need to uncompress the xmcmain.sco before trying to open and edit? And what program do I use to uncompress, and recompress the xmcmain.sco?
Another reason why I want to know this info, is that I want to set the drive free option to false. So the planes stop disappearing when I open the menus drive free is set to "true"
Also want to add titles to my additional mods so many menus I have, and I have to go to a paper legend to see what's where and what opens them :/
Ok back to the main topic about the administrator abusing there privileges.
I notice that if I add myself to the administrators list to say XMC Mod menu than I still won't become an administrator since my name is not on other Modders XMC mod menu script.
So if I edit XMC and remove or replace the name of that Administrator will it prevent them from being able to use the XMC administrator options on me?
I don't mind players having administrator options on me, I do mind when they abuse it there abilities "Xx_____xX".
I don't play the freeze game if that's the route you play least give me the option to leave the game and be a respectful administrator.
I've snooped all through these many menus but still get a crash from openiv from it being compressed I think? I know many have edited xmc with openiv, what am I doing wrong?
Even if you uncompressed it Emanuel may have hashed out the names so if open iv reads it, it will still crash, there is no easy way to fix it if that is the case but I would try uncompressing it first. Then see if you can at least read it then look for a native that compares GT strings.
Look for some mod menu sources I know Emanuel left a compressor with some of his sources.
But, when I think about it if it had a character count when I change the Danny Darths drive free line to false that would add one more character to the entire source. >< so it's going to be trial and error with this :/. I found a compressor and decompressor if I can get to work, I will need to find friendly admins to test this out. To see if it removes them from the admin abilities over me!
The only thing you can do with scocl compiled scripts is edit them with scotoolbox, they can not be decompiled. (decompiled scripts are only pseudo source code anyways and can not be compiled)
If you found a custom script that can be decompiled, it was written completely in scotoolbox.Quote:

His name checks are really complex, and abusive admins are gonna pop up every now and then. What I'd suggest doing, is have a standalone SCO for these things:
Group Hack Protection
Model Changer Protection
Freeze Gun Protection
If you have those then perhaps you may have a little advantage over them. I don't know what options are in the admin for 5.0 (or 5.5, whatever he's called it this time) but I would take a good guess (and hope) and group hack is one of them.
Good luck with this.
Yea I doubt your going to be able to edit/remove the admin checks because of how hard coded they are in them.....do you know the GT abusing there admin capabilites?
I don't know why it should have the ability to freeze people anyway, you can justify the protection. Giving people that can't make their own mods the ability to freeze is the problem I think. It's like that big red button that says "DO NOT PRESS". :wow:
