HELP NEEDED MODDING GTA IV TBOGT

Recently I began seeing people mod GTA TBOGT online. I didn't know this could be done till I saw it a couple weeks ago. Since then I got another PS3 from a buddy and have been trying to figure out what all I have to do to mod the PS3 and mod GTA. I don't really know what I have to do, so I'm hoping for a lot of help here guys. I'll start by giving you guys what I think I know, and askin some questions. So to start out, I have the EFLC dlc disc. I was going to jailbreak the PS3 through a USB. All I know about the jailbreak is to get the file on the USB drive(I know it has to be in a certain folder) and then go under system update and update the firmware. Now from there I only have pieced some things together. It sounded like at some point I am going to need to run 3.55 and update it to a higher CFW like 4.20 or something? Somewhere in there it sounded like I also have to download package files and at some point I have to do a data transfer and transfer it all to another PS3? Also it sounds like I'm going to have to enter in my own script mods through a program on the computer before I put those files on the PS3? Really I'm about lost with what all I have to do, I just want to be able to mod GTA TBOGT online. I can use all the help I can get! If someone can help I'd really appreciate it.
