Zaapata, I already have one PS3 on 3.55. It's running CFW Kmeaw 3.55 to be more specific. To mod online, is it true that if I have seperate 4.21 OFW PS3, I could Data Transfer from CFW 3.55 PS3 to OFW 4.21 PS3 to mod online? Is that true or false?

That would mean having THREE PS3's (Which I don't want to have) but if that means having one UNmodded PS3 for regular online gaming, and one Modded PS3 for Modding Online Gaming, I'll do it. What are your thoughts on the whole situation?

Yes you need 2 playstation 3. One on 3.55 CFW. The second on 4.21 OFW. You need both if you wanna mod online

I don't understandi why you said three playstation 3. But only two is sufficient

I have done nothing to this PS3. It's blank. I formatted the hard drive when I bought it. I want to data transfer TO this PS3 from PS3 Number 2 (the one with the mods) so I can use the mods online.

My issue is how do I do a proper Data Transfer so I can use these mods online?
(I have these ones currently and use them offline on PS3 number 2)

For successfully Mod GTA IV , Step 1. install original 1.06 Update of GTA IV

For know wich take look front of your CD of GTA IV. Right of the Mature 17+ Warning(hope you will find it)
Attention: If you already Install GTA IV - Skip step 2
Step 2.Load Grand Thef Auto IV, then you should get a black screen with a loading screen whrited Installing Data to Hard Disc Drive (HDD) when that's done play Gta a little time about 2-3 time, then go back go to Ps3 main menu (XMB).

I will not re-whrite the whole tutorial so my tut is in this thread 1st page post #5.

Do I have any other options other than buying a jailbroken one off craigslist/ebay. I know it is impossible to do without a 3.55 cfw ps3 but lets say perhaps I found somebody that did GTA4 mods online that lives in my area. Would they be able to do the data transfer for me?

Last night I was on playing and some guy came in and drove around on a couch. It was pretty funny. Then he was in a sultan with fire coming out of the back. Hopefully I will be able to do the same soon

Good to know! A search for jailbroken ps3 seems to go 250$+ so finding somebody local seems like a better option for the time being. Now I just need to find somebody in the San Diego/LA area. Anybody? I will gladly make it worth your time

Sadly however, I just don't understand your tutorial (Post #5) I've read it and read it and read it, over and over again but sadly, I cannot wrap my head around it. I'm still very much so a noob here and I apoligize for this whole thing. I just don't get it. You're not giving me enough background information to fully understand the procedure. I'm not complaing here, thanks again for everything you've done. I really do thank you. I just don't understand. The basic process. I just need to find a more noob-friendly tutorial.

Something that says stuff like: Now, plug an ethernet cable into both PS3's and click "Data Transfer Utility"

I need that little details. Saying: Step 2. Install your pkg file, Go into a file manager Locate by following this >hdd0>game>BLUSorBLES(Depend your Region)>USDIR/ ... means nothing to me. I have NO idea where to go with that instruction.

I need "Copy the pkg file from your Computer onto a USB Stick. Then place USB in the PS3. Navigate to Install Package Files on the PS3 XMB and click Install

That kind of stuff. See what I mean? A true step by step. I don't expect you to make one. It would take a lot of time. I'm going to go keep looking for more information
