    Folks,

I'm having some annoying issues when I try to use GTA IV from my internal HDD together with EvilB's trainer PKG. I'm following the steps below:

    1) Copying GTA IV from BluRay disk to internal HDD
    2) Loading/running it on Multiman (Internal HDD)
    3) Installation finishes and game loads OK
    4) Quit to XMB and install EvilB's PKG
    5) Run the game (game seems to start OK, but keep loading and never ends).

The only way to play the game without the issue reported above is by running it from BluRay disk (rather than internal HDD).

2nd issue is with TBoGT/TLAD (when I try to run it from internal HDD + MultiMAN. After choosing TBOGT or TLAD the game starts loading and crash after 5-6 secs).

I've tried redoing the whole process tons of time and no success ... Would be great if anyone could shed me some light or ideas to fix that.

    Thanks,

    - rodd1981

Okay, here is my edited version of the written instructions, hopefully alexvillas won't mind and will copy/paste these so people won't get confused and have to read through all the comments. Long post. lol

    Anyways, here it is :

The games ID has to be BLES01128(The Euro version)
This is a rewritten not revised tutorial of AlexVillas version and is done without his consent. The purpose of this tutorial is to be able to load the game Internally on kmeaw 3.55 CFW (Multiman [DeanK's legendary app] 2.00.02 or higher required [I'm currently using the latest version 2.01.00] )

1 *) If you have any install data or patches delete them.

2 *) Enter Multiman, use the file explorer (or press select-start on the game to go to it's location in file explorer) locate the folder in which you store your backups (GAMES or GAMEZ) and inside the gta4 game folder look for the folder PS3_GAME and press O(Circle) and choose "shadow for PKG game " then say yes. and wait

3 *) Now go into dev_hdd0/game and delete the folder BLES01128 that you just created

4 *) With Multiman(Blackbox ftp or with a usb[I used a usb]) ftp/transfer and replace the following files in the correct directories :

4**) replace the COMP.BIN with the modded one in this directory dev_hdd0/G/E01128/USRDIR Note: This is where I messed up the first several times as I did not notice the G folder in dev_hdd0 do not replace the COMP.BIN in the gta4 folder in your GAMES or GAMEZ directory. Also make a back up of the original, just in case.

4***) Go to your GAMES or GAMEZ directory where you have the game folder at and replace the EBOOT.BIN with the modded one(make a copy of the original, just in case).

5 *) Load the game with Multiman(or any manager you choose but I used Multiman)

6*) If it doesn't work try the FIX PERMISSIONS app included(Although the app freeze's on me and I just use the fix permissions that comes with multiman)

SIDENOTES: If you have any previous gamesaves, there "might" be a chance it won't work. You don't have to delete them, just transfer them out run gta 4 and let it install the game data. When done exit back to xmb and transfer the gamesaves back and then just play.

if there is any more problems please let me know and with exact details. I hope this helped and you enjoy this game as much as I have so far.

Super sidenote: Huge props to alexvillas for the upload in the first place.

I forgot to say (I am using BLUS30127 - GTA IV only). I don't have GTA IV Complete Edition =(

Anyway, thanks for the tips (perhaps I will end up buying GTA IV Complete Edition and trying the tips)

For the records, I am using Rogero CFW v4.30 with latest MultiMAN 04.16.xx

upload the EBOOT.BIN i might be able to fix it so its like the eboot posted by Silent.

If you dont want to go through patchng the game this way, copy your game to the external hdd if you have one and load thru multiman because gta dont load from internal without patching it you get infinate loading loop.

Cool, that would be great ... The EBOOT.BIN which is in there is the one that comes with your PKG UP1017-BLUS30127_00-GTAIVUPDATEV0106.pkg

Would you also be able to do that for TBoGT/TLAD EBOOT.BIN?

I'll be posting the links in a bit ... Thanks!

Just uploaded the EBOOT.BIN files (not sure if I did correctly, but here it goes):

    1) EBOOT_GTAIV_BLUS30127.BIN (Copied it from /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30127/etc after installing your V106 PKG)

    EBOOT_GTAIV_BLUS30127.BIN

    2) EBOOT_EFLC_BLUS30524.BIN (Copied it from /dev_hdd0/GAMES/EFLC/etc/EBOOT.BIN - this directory contains the copy of my original EFLC BD-ROM)

    EBOOT_EFLC_BLUS30524.BIN

    Thanks for your help!

Its called "Black Screen Game" (BSG) and there no issue for that.
All what you can do: is wait until the multiMAN creator fix it btw he already fixed some.
p.s.: in each up-to-date of multiMAN saying what's new & what he fixed, check sometimes buddy

i think i got a fix for internal hdd users, i think converting your single gtaivs to the complete edition layout and use its eboots then apply the fix pavel posted it should work.

all i need is a us version complete edition eboot.bin, comp.bin, param.sfo and maybe the trophy dir
i got eu versions ill test later.

are there any real differences between the content in the eu and us versions ?? if not why wouldn't an eboot from one region work in another region??
