    Hi guys,

    I was digging some GTA IV videos on youtube and I unintentionally found this awesome map mod called Gostown Paradise:

    I was playing on PC and I must say that it is a superb map mod (there are tons of places to visit/explore). I've found a nice race track and completed ~5 laps on it, lol

    Now, I am wondering if it's possible to convert the files and add them into a PS3 PKG file to install/uninstall into GTA IV (I did some digging into the installation directories and could find .WTD/.IMG/.IDE/.DAT files).

    Would it be possible to sort the files to be properly added on PS3 through a PKG installation file? That would be awesome ...

    PS: I had some OUT OF VIDEO MEMORY issue on PC on my 1st try but I managed to get that fixed by removing the hotel lines on GTA.DAT and IMAGES.TXT.

    looks like it would be a rather heavy thing to convert i guess if it was situated a fair distance from the city then a lot of the city would be absent from the memory for this to take its place, this is just a thoery however and it might take a more drastic mod to put it in place, such as deleting parts of the city either permanently or just by stopping iv from loading parts of city should we choose to go to this island

    anyway we spin it though this could be something we could all work on


    edit: do you know of a vid showing the island from above? to assess how big a project this would be we need to know how big the island actually is

    Hate to smash yo dream....but wdr er cdr in the image would be impossible to convert. We could do wtd to ctd, but that is jus skins with no frames.
    WDR is what would stop us all in our tracks.

    we don't have to worry about models just use the ones that already exist then when the model format is broke we can do it fully

    that map mod is far from small, relative to the rest of the game it is small, but by itself it is in fact enormous

    wow ... such a big map mod they did put all kind of mod types in there ... rpf , script , ipl , etc .

    it will be possible i just think that once people had mods available on the pc that they got lazy and thought ok this will do
