First of, mind the double post. It is not really connected anyway with the above.
I am starting to get my head around IMG and SCO files. I understand that an .img file is an archive that contains .sco files, which are the product of compiled C code. Correct me if I am wrong. Now, I am trying to add several SCO files from an .img archive that contained a lot of mods. I copied script.img using MultiMAN (GTA IV Original, HDD internal), and used OpenIV to view the contents. Using that program, I added the SCO files into the archive, rebuilt it, and replaced it.
I then did the "fix permissions" routine, and proceeded to load the game. The game began loading, and everything seemed to be going OK. When it actually got to the loading save game part, where the 'Loading...' appears along with the current/last mission name, it just seems it could go on forever.
I have done some research, and I am aware that it has something to do with a EBOOT.BIN file. Now, I found a version that was going to fix the infinite loading problem, but as soon as I replaced it, I was unable to boot the game.
I have no problem installing package files... but they seem to do most of the work. I also realised that one of the mod packages I had would not load when using the backed up version of Grand Theft Auto IV.
What is going on? And for the most part, am I sort of getting the hang of it? Appreciate any help.
Just to clear up any confusion (Mostly on my part), are ALL releases to be made in the "Mega Script Thread"? Because it said on the forum rules thread Dev releases are exceptions.
Just want to know before I go wrong. :)
i think any dev release deserve its own thread , but it would be kind for you to post atleast a link into " mega script thread " too...

EDIT: nevermind , i got it to work.
New to TBOGT mods
Have a OFW 3.41 console in the post, and my sole purpose of buying it was for online TBOGT script mods.
Have a couple of questions;
1) I'm looking at modding TBOGT for online free roam play, I don't want to spawn super-helis and destroy everyone, I just want sweet rides, and new ramps etc (and maybe set the occasional random on fire). Have many people had their PSN account / console banned for doing this?
2) Is it possible to play modded TBOGT online with JB console (as I don't want to risk my OFW console getting banned). I believe the latest CFW versions will connect online? If I do data transfer to my JB console, and then mod the files, can I then mod TBOGT online using the JB console?
Sorry for the newbie questions.
I run my gta's from HDD pack, Ill search around for it but i know i downloaded it here , about the same time as geohotz made his CFW its just a pkg file and then you place all the files from your game on the folder and the modded eboot looks for its files in that chosen directory
