Just wondering if you can take (from componentped for example) the (wtd, wdd, wft) pc files and convert them to use as the ps3 (ctd, cdd, cft) files? Not possible?

    pretty sure its the same

I remeber starting on map mods last year and all it was was renaming the extention from xpl to cpl

I would say rename them and test.. unless these are model files .. dont think they work

Nah, renaming ext. doesn't work...If I do, I can open them with spark, but it's just a bunch of "blank" files all names something like ~S.dss.

only thing that can be ported is the .wtd these are the textures, you can open them in openiv and extract the .dds then import to a .ctd from ps3.

Openiv only gives me the option of opening "all archives","IMG archives" , and "RPF archives". No ctd or wtd files show up or will open with openiv.

You need the latest Open Iv. Once you have that, then run open iv and drag a wtd into it, and double click that. Extract the dds and replace those into ctd in Console Texture Editor. You might have to re-size and convert a few files(dxt1 to dxt5 etc.). Open Iv will also open wtf the same way, but we can not do anything with the feature.

What's the latest? All I could find was 0.9.4. DL'd it, installed it, it is for PC version, is that ok? It seems the same way as the old, won't open those files.

That is the latest, just press EDIT mode in the top right, then drop a wtd into it. The program will not let you do anything without EDIT mode.

Ok, thanks again. I was able to open the wtd, extract all dds files, open desired ctd with CTE and replaced all dds files(made sure they were the exact same name, dx1 or dx5, and correct size[some were slightly larger as far as kb's though]), then I saved because I didn't see any rebuild options. Tried with both versions of openiv I have to rebuild my ComponentPed, but it fails at rebuild...I give up for the night, gotta sleeps.

For the latest script ISH use a original componentped for best results.
For image rebuilding use Spark IV , Open IV is for rpf.
