I never thought I would see the day when ps3 was subject to this. At first I believed aving everything would be kewl, but it the wrong hands this really sucks.
I entered a room lately and began playing how I usually play, map mods and bmx's with modded cars. Some guy seen this(mods that no one else has right now on ps3) and he began his attack that lasted until I forced em out. He began trying to freeze me(which had very little effect other than it was really annoying)I began to try to figure out who was attacking I(was easy after he froze everyone else which cast em out!) Then I attached Iself to his vehicle and began my attack of freezing(can not believe I stooped to his level) and attaching everything to em. He finally left and I was there by Iself wondin WTF?! It upset I soo much I failed to get his user name. On PSN?!
Dis is not kewl and should not be tolerated.
We go on GTA IV to play...not to ave some kid try and take dat away.

That really sucks big time ... MODs are created to have fun (not to troll people in a non-sense way). It really ruins all the multiplayer fun atmosphere.

I'm not a saint and I must admit that I have done some trolling on people online (but only when these people do troll on me before, lol).

Some of the trolling situations I often see happening:

- Team mate shooting against you on team match games (DB, BDB, NOOSE, etc).
- Team mate blowing your car, heli, etc with grenade.
- Team mate goes intentionally away with heli/car and leave you behind.
- And so on ...

That's probably why R* doesn't want to release a PC version of GTA V (I truly hope that this doesn't happen or the GTA MOD scene will be completely screwed).

There's a lot of modders out there now, you are bound to run into those kind here and there. I'll admit though, I do freeze those modders (if im not host) that are just out to mess with people in an abusive way. It's just not fun with them in the room at all.

I know this is all iight. Counter attack! I think the counter attack should begin by the devs (we should make a dev only sco for this exact purpose).

this option was removed in the recent update for that exact reason so no one can abuse that and freezing is for chumps this why i dont include any abusive mods in my releases.

i aint got any respect for anyone who uses freeze guns any other freeze method, this is why im not making anymore mods for online and stopping all together making them, why make mods for people when all thats gonna happen is people freezing eachother.

I totally agree with nativesith.

I too have been dropped into a match with these group of modders who just like ruining the non-modded GTA experience. The way they speak to other players is ridiculous, the other players being the ones without the mods, etc. They act as if they are above everyone else, and make them do stupid things like singing, signing off, downloading stuff they shouldn't, in the hope that particular person gets the same modding abilities as the modders. It sickens me, and I just freeze those who are troublesome, and send them a nasty message.

What is also a concern is this sudden surge in a lot of modders having the gravity gun, which is just really annoying. I think there needs to be some sort of mod menu for the developers that allows them to deal with these particular people who just want to cause trouble with their new-found abilities. The problem is I reckon that the number of developers is quite small, and if anything, they are more interested in programming to even join a game and moderate it. So, maybe you could form a group of modders who are deemed responsible to have any power that will help prevent these bad modders from causing havoc in games.

And a note to those who do use their mods just to cause pure disruption to people's games, this will only give Sony another reason to step up a level to stop everyone from using mods online and maybe offline. I hope though that these folk are not from this wonderful community, as it would certainly over shadow the contributions and collaborations that go on here.

Also, on another note, I think it is more important to be aware that this is just going to get worse as more and more people find the ability to get mods online. So, this should be taken on board by any developer who decides to make certain mods that could be used to abuse other players/modders. I am pretty sure everyone knew this would happen eventually, so I am not surprised.
