[REQ] Menu lag help

I'm using Muskelprotze's source with a few little things I added, and I changed the color of the text also, but my testers have said that when you're cycling through the menu, it's laggy to the point it can freeze you.

Does anybody know why this is or how I can fix it so I can release a public one on here.

im guessing you have some kind of recurring loop in there without a wait in there, so what happens is it just executes everything as fast as possible overloading the game

I've looked through it but can't find anything like that, I got the source from Muskelprotze himself and he said it all works so I'm a bit confused.

Other than colors can you list what you added? Any idea if it only happens after using something or does it just eventually build up lag until freeze?

I think u just need more feedback from your testers on when and where it lags and then investigate it , or you could
Test it and find out.

My xbox is almost dead and it won't let me hotswap anymore so I can't actually test anything I do.

I've watched it on one of the webcams though, it's when they open it, and when the teleport that seems to be the worst.

It's only colors at the moment, I wanted to add other things into it but slowly. So I started with the basics but even before I did that it lagged real bad when they opened it or did something. It doesn't freeze straight away but it seriously lags until freeze.

I agree with zorg93 the ps3(not sure bout Xbox ) has handycapps with memory.. You need to throw in some waits to give it a break from constantly checking .

I would suggest just getting rid of colors and pick one theme.. It's kind of a waste to have it.. If you think about it you have to change the color to what you want every time you start the game cus it won't save.. But it's your menu you can do what ya like.

Yeah I stopped working on this a while ago now. I assumed this thread was dead now so I didn't do anything further with it.

I've just made a car spawner out of randomness and will be releasing it here when it's done..

Yeh I took a Break from the menu bs for a while too , working on zombies dlc
