Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag

Besides those games announced for the PS4, Ubisoft has recently announced the new Assassin's Creed, that goes by the name of Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag.
Not much is know, except that the new assassin will be named Edward Kenway (Connor's Grandfather) and that he will be a Pirate/Assassin.

The game will be released in October 29th.

Also, if you pay attention to the cover for the PS3 game, apparently the PS3 version will have 1 hour of exclusive gameplay. I suppose the PS4 will too.
This new game will be released for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, PC and WiiU. And probably for Microsoft's next generation console.

I'm eager to see this game on PS4, and the new Infamous and Watch Dogs. I have to admit that the list of interesting games for the PS4 is growing very nice.

What worries me is that most of the game will be during ship combat. On the AC3, the ship combats were nice, but a little boring. Let's hope they make some changes.

More concerning is that they are trying to put this game out in 2013. I wonder how long it's been in development. It's generally not a good idea to wear out a franchise by releasing an iteration every year (See Call of Duty).

Well, I've read that Ubisoft has many teams working on various installments of Assassin's Creed. And that this new one was in development for the past three years. Which probably mean that there will be no large difference in terms of graphics from the PS3 and the PS4. Also, I've read that AC4 will have a part in Brazil. As a Brazilian this is nice to learn. And I think it would be amazing to be an Assassin an climb, jump and stuff through Amazonas. Which has large trees and it is a very dense forest. I just hope that this new character is more interesting than Connor. And that the walking through places is a little more intense.

Also, it's possible that there is another team working on a AC game for the year of 2014. And they probably are already finishing the game.

It will probably be a good game, and it's also probably been in development for a few years too. I'm speaking more about damaging the franchise by releasing a game every year. As I mentioned before, the same thing happened to Call of Duty. The games themselves are still good in my opinion, but the series has lost lots of respect and attention because of it's relentless release schedule.

Oh... I see. Maybe... or maybe not. It depends on how good the next games will be.

Yeah, just tap the breaks a bit. People get burned out on titles no matter how good they are if you release every year. Now with that said, I'm sure this won't happen with this series. I would guess that this title has been in development as the 'Next Gen' Assassin's Creed game for a while now. It probably just so happened that it's coming out only one year after Assassin's Creed 3.

Well I'll be honest with the both of you. AC III went downhill with me. I was so exited and I bought the game on release date but... the game did not appeal to me like how AC 2 - Revelations did. I never liked Ezio at first but he grew to me. Maybe ACIII will pick up with Connor but for AC4

Ubisoft is just going to milk Assassins creed as much as they can it may be a good game but who knows.

Yeah. I'm with you. I was also very excited about ACIII. But, the end result was very disappointing. I just hope that AC4 will do a better job. And that AC does not become some franchise that the will simply do new all the same game just to sell.

IMO the AC Series went downhill when Ezio wasn't apart of the game anymore.I was around 2-3 hours in AC3 and I was playing as the other guy instead of Connor and he BORED THE SHIT OUT OF ME LOL! If I would of known the game would of been like that instead of buying the game on release date I would of just pirated it on my CFW unit. But here I am buying the game since I am so used to "a good series" Hopefully when I play as Connor the game will pick up....
Speaking about Connor why did Ubisoft ditch Connor and made him a one hit wonder? Anyways.... Asassians Creed is heading down the COD path.
I will use Dead Space 3 as an example since I couldn't find the game on CFW I just bought the game. (Go figure right) Don't get me wrong it is exiting and it sucks you in BUT IMO Dead Space 2 is better... Dead Space 3 it's like you gotta buy shit to even stay relevant or just keep on searching for resources. I am only 3 hours in the game and I have to build weapons....WTF another game that I paid for.
Anyways I doubt I will fall for the hype this AC Release Ubisoft tricked me with last game but they won't trick me with this one...
