Old Game Inquiry
Back when i was in Middle School/H.S., there were 2 games that were quite popular that I am now unable to run with todays Computers. One Game apparently runs in 8 Bit Color Mode which I guess Mac OS X is unable to run. The other is in a Zip/Compressed format which Mac OS X can not open natively. The Games are:
Blood Pong. This is a Pong Game with mixed with Mortal Kombat
Blood Pong - Fung Shwei Playthrough - YouTube Demonstration 1
Blood Pong - Fatality Demonstration - YouTube Demonstration 2
Blood Pong for Mac - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com Download which works, but will not run on anything beyond Mac OS X 10.4
Pong Kombat 3. Same as above, made from the same guy, but maybe a little less put into it.
Pong Kombat 3 PK3, and the file is compressed in a .hqx File. Dont ask what OS it would run on, because I forgot what I had this thing on. I also had BP, but it was not on a Mac I know that much.
If there is anything that can be done with these Games, could it be Ported to PC ( either Windows 98, XP, Vista, 7 or 8), or maybe even PSP/Vita/PS3, also Android?
Controls should be the Arrow Keys and 2 Action Buttons. ABs usually are CTRL and Shift, or NumPad 0/Ins and NumPad ./Del.
Thank you for your time. Also, if nothing can be done with these Games, can someone at least help me figure out Sheepshaver so I can get it running on there with Mac OS 9? LOL. Thing is being a pain.
Holy shit! I remember this game. If I can find the time, I'll try to get these running. I played them on PC. Have you tried a DOS emulator?
Have not tried DOSBox. But BP is not a .exe or Dos Executable I think. Pong Kombat 3, can not open because like I said, is a .hqx File which supposedly can only be opened by Stuffit Expander, which then becomes a .sit file, and when you finally get it all said and done, becomes a blank file type, with 0kb file size for some reason despite having 4-5MB in the Compressed File. Been fumbling around with VirtualBox all wkend long like mad trying to find the right OS that will run them.

PK3, no idea. Dont even know where to start.
Currently, I am trying to see if I can try again for Mac OS X 10.4 PPC Version on VirtualBox. Trying to figure out how to run BP by seeing if I can run through the OS it says it is compatible with.

I have no idea what it means by Mac OS Classic. Your guess is as good as mine.
OK, I just read your Comment again. Do you remember what OS you were running when you played these on PC? I had these on PC also, but I forgot which OS I had. I can run the following under VirtualBox:
Win98 and XP.
Windows 95 and 2000 will NOT seem to run for some reason.
Has there been any progress in this area?
