The font of the translation patch is reaaally buggy, you can increase the value if you want but it will still be weird on an other aspect. The value I used matches the one that you get to see on normal 4:3 which is also the size Xeeynamo built around the patch, he never had in mind that somebody would make a widescreen patch...
If you still want to mess around with it you can use 3F400000 and 3F466666 but the gaps between the letters will look weird like from nearest to distant then back to near etc, also some aliasing appears.
BTW I'm trying to find which font from DYNACOMWARE they used on their games, I checked and they seem to sale whatever they have ever made so I bet the Kingdom Hearts one is there available...

Yea it would be nice to get the fonts from KH2 and use them on KH2FM+ but that would be difficult

I bet that you could do that by replacing the IRX or TGA file responsible for the font map, but what I want is to find the font that they used originally, also I want to find the font that they used on the most recent games (BBS and 3D).

    Hello,

-Someone knows if we can enable widescreen for games (like Final fantasy VIII, Fear effect, Parasite Eve...) with 2D backscreen (vert -) and 3D characters (hor +) with the traditionnal way (cheat engine, widescreen helper...)?

-Can we use the same way of PS2PSXE by ffgriever (with enhancements from PS2 components) to fix the problem described by Virgin KLM about (crash bandicoot games, for example)? Has ffgriever shared sources of his emulator?

-I tried to enable widescreen in Time splitters 2, i only found ZOOM IN, ZOOM OUT function (in static memory). Didn't find anything in dynamic memory (maybe i didn't wait enough longer). Any advice?

Thank you very much to everyone for your work and your uploaded patch (here, or in PCSX2's forum). I make a database of widescreen codes (master code+widescreen code, the most perfect). I'll update the first post (reprep's board) soon. See ya!!

It depends, some 2D games render the offscreen background (Digimon World 3) while others because of their nature, like fixed camera view, don't (Resident Evil 1,2,3). There's no other answer to the question than, you have to experiemnt to find out.
Also one good example of weird results is Resident Evil series. If you enable widescreen, everything that is outside the background is black and you can see stuff like the zombies which is bad. Also note that in Resident Evil and other 2D games that have collisions that depend on the 2D background, while the background may not get streched the collisions most possibly will so you will end up hitting stuff that are not there or being over/stepping over solid stuff which is killing the gameplay.

No, The game is built that way, there is absolutelly nothing you can do about it. The only thing that could happen is modify some things in the code of the plugin or the ELF of the game but this is very unlikely to happen and its not proven to work good.

Usually Zoom value is stored in a 3F8... value, so it's very easy to find it. You have to search for other values to find the rest and if you are lucky enough you'll find the ones you're looking for too.

Sorry guys, i am kinda on summer vacation and i will be away for some time. Thanks a lot for running the show. I would be very glad that if people with forum priviliges to edit the first post, can add the newly found codes to the first page as it is getting harder and harder to find the code you need.
    take care
Please contact me if you can make a PS2 VGA cable with SoG stripping. All costs will be covered by me.

-->Right! I'll look for it and post my result too.
Thanks for your reply Virgin KLM! I follow you on pcsx2 widescreen thread too =)

PS: I don't have forum privileges. If it's needed to edit the first reprep's post, can i have these privileges in an other way than traditionnal (cause 30 post it's a little too much to me ).
