Is a Kingdom Hearts 1 hack being worked on? It would be perfect since we have CoM and KH2 already.

    Widescreen codes:

    20152D0D 3F2AAAAB
    20152D82 3F2AAAAB
    20154CB6 3F2AAAAB
You might have a little trouble getting Onimusha working in widescreen on PS2... hyakki knows more about it but I think it has do with dynamic addresses and pointers. IIRC editing the values in the 2xx range will have no effect unless you do it while pcsx2's running and use savestates to complete the game

Widescreen Helper is great for pesky games like Onimusha and Shadow Hearts because it seeks out the values in the 3xx range

So, the values found with PCSX2 and Cheat Engine, how do they relate to actual PS2 RAM addresses? Is there any kind of offset or anything, like in Sega Genesis savestates?

Also, I'm wondering if that for some games, it might be easier just to write a little piece of assembly to run at the beginning of vblank processing that will make sure the pertinent RAM addresses hold the right values when vblank ends? Or am I thinking too oldschool?
    Chip-free homebrew <3

    SCPH-39001, FMCB 1.8c, NA+250GB HDD
SCPH-75001, FMCB 1.8c (sitting idle, slims suck)

    GSM 0.38 + OPL r655 = Gaming bliss ^_^

You just have to subtract 20000000 from address in PCSX2. For more information you can read in artmoney site > manuals > emuls.
    Sony Playstation 2

RAM area is 00000000 - 001FFFFFF (32Mb). For TLB version of PCSX2, use the memory dump editor (Debug - Memory Dump). For VM version of PCSX2, use artmoney process map and find memory block by size 2000000.

Attention! PCSX2 emulator VM (Virtual Memory) version has memory protection (you cannot write to process memory). Enable "Use own functions for access to memory" option to bypass it (available only in ArtMoney Pro).
In fact Artmoney is more useful for looking indirect memory cause cheatengine has a little big buggy Memory Viewer, and function: search emulator addresses is very useful.

I tried the codes for FF X NTSC 203.12 with ps2rd.

This is the cheat file I made

    //--------

    "Final Fantasy X NTSC-U/ID SLUS_203.12"
    Mastercode
    902DB32C 0C0BAFF1
    0C08E7C3 F8A9A297
    Widescreen
    20311340 3F2AAAAA
For the ps2rd conf, I just used the one that came with ps2rd package and just changed the ip address and gateway.

Ran ps2rd on my ps2, pressed O to activate the cheat, and then X to start the game (original DVD). However, the display is still in 4:3

Is there anything I did wrong? Does ps2rd need to have an active connection to my pc for it to work? I have a phat ps2 with FMCB 1.8

There's no need to do that, you can create a savestate yourself easily: While the game is running just switch to the PCSX2 main window and choose "System -> Save state -> Slot X". After that you can load your savestate whenever you like (of course the correct game has to be running) via "System -> Load state -> Slot X".

I don't have the ISO for the game though. I guess i can try making one out of my game disc.

EDIT: Or wait, pcsx2 boots direct from disc too I think, i can try that.
