Jay-Jay, you can add one more game to the list:
"Trapt /ID SLUS_212.55"
Tested with ps2rd + PS2 OPL SMB Setup
It is getting harder to access this place, as my favorite proxy has stopped working.
pelvicthrustman, thanks for your involment in ps2 scene. Regarding the recent development of yours, I would recommend you to make widescreen code injection software a bit different.
This software should do following:
1. Easy code input into its own internal database from multiple .pnach files. They are updating them all the time (correcting old & adding new), so it would be much more easier to automatically import them from archive posted at PC2SX.
2. Easy code input into its own internal database from, let's say, google spreadsheet that would contain games IDs and its mastercodes. I suggest using verified master codes only, since any automatic finder I have seen before was not good enough. If you can make a tool which simplify process of codes finding, that would be great.
It would be perfect, if software, being integrated into OPL, checked game ID before its launch, and using earlier imported data from databases mentioned above, injected necessary codes.
But that is a lot of work.
, I moved the Mastercode Finder thread here: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f293/mas...finder-110898/ -- Already stickied. Nice job there pelvic, it's really cool to have a guy who can do these projects to make our work easier here. :)
Jay-Jay, you know what to do :)
"Time Crisis 2 /ID SLUS_202.19"
"Time Crisis 3 /ID SLUS_206.45"
PS2 OPL + ps2rd
I don't recommend to use these hacks, as aiming won't work properly, however they provide true 16:9 aspect ratio.
I can't update the first post of the maskfix thread, please see my latest post there http://psx-scene.com/forums/f293/mas...torial-110108/
I feel a bit retarded but at least things make sense now, "maskfix"ing codes as it turns out isn't neccessary, you just need to understand PNACH and PS2 cheat code types. Since reading can be hard and I already wrote it I've updated maskfix to be
"PNACH Converter" anyone trying to use PNACHs on PS2s should be using it.
By way of testing I've shortened the following codes on the front page and tested all of them
"Castlevania Lament of Innocence NTSC /ID SLUS_207.33"
"Castlevania Curse of Darkness NTSC /ID SLUS_211.68"
"Devil May Cry NTSC /ID SLUS_202.16"
"The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 NTSC /ID SLUS_201.65"
"The Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 NTSC /ID SLUS_200.24"
"The Legacy of Kain: Defiance NTSC /ID SLUS_207.73"
"Persona 3 FES NTSC /ID SLUS_216.21"
"Resident Evil Code Veronica X NTSC /ID SLUS_201.84"
"Silent Hill 2 NTSC /ID SLUS_202.28"
"Silent Hill 3 NTSC /ID SLUS_206.22"
"Silent Hill 4 NTSC /ID SLUS_208.73"
-> For a full explanation read the maskfix thread.
I've included the functionality to shorten maskfix-generated codes in PNACH Converter, you can use this on codes from the front page to shorten them if you like, that function has been tested on the above 11 games and works like a charm.
PNACH Converter should be mentioned on page 1 and used as a standard method to convert PNACH to PS2 codes.
I'm a total noob at this, is there a simple way to add codes by copy and paste and not input it with the ps2 controller?
Yes, look into ps2rd, you just add your cheats to a .txt file.

We have links to ps2rd in the first page of this thread. I suggest you read more about ps2rd. Yes, ps2rd will load your ESR patched discs.
