Also, I could try out the Network since I have a crossover cable for use with OPL. I can't try I-HDD cause I have a Slim.

Another unrelated thing, do you think there is any performance difference between different models of PS2? I know the Phat was a little less MHz than the Slim but I don't think enough to make a huge difference.

    UPDATE

We added a new attribute to the chart above:

Loader = list the way you load it, either using the GUI, or radshell, or ps2client. If many testers use different loaders, we'll just list them all--so people know what they're capacity is.
And we changed the attribute "Compatible" to "Playable". See below for more details:

Playable= Did it work? Yes or No. Most games have some glitches, but the question is, "Is the game at least playable?" If many testers have different results, we'll just list them all--so people know what they're capacity is.
Please use this list when reporting a game:

    Code:
    Game Title =
    Game ID =
    Game Region =
    Console Type =
    PS2PSXe Version =
    USB/Network/HDD =
    Loader =
    Playable=
    BIOS =
    Notes =

I don't think so. I am sure that ffgriever would have mentioned this. You are using a Slim and I am using a PHAT, and so far we got the same results with at least one game.

Notes: Opening FMV with helicopter doesn't work but you can skip through it. No talking from any of the characters. Runs at almost 60fps in some locations but less when more characters are on screen. Few textures in some rooms are glitched.
I tested this also and I got the same results as you with the Jay-Jay Bundle version.

I then took a gamble and tested it with r202. Though I did get to hear voices, but at one point it got stuck stuttering and it froze up the game. I tried several times and also both on USB and Network, got the same stuttering/freezing results. So my conclusion is r202 is not reliable to test with.

I hope someday ffgreiver releases r209, hopefully it's a bit more reliable and we can hear some important sound.

Are yu sure that the sound is all fixed in the r209? That would be awesome, a lot of ganes would work completely. I don't even feel like trying out the r202, maybe I should for games like Parasite Eve to see if the FMV sound works.

Dino Crisis makes pretty good for a silent game

ffgreiver said yesteday that it was better than r202, but I still think he said that it still needed more work as far as more game compatibilities.

Yeah, give it a test, what do you have to lose?

The way I did it was with a second USB stick. And on the network, well you can have two folders of PS2PSXe with independent ps2clients--just keep in mind that PS2Client doesn't like spaces in the folders (file directories) and in the files. Today and Tomorrow I will be adding my tutorial on PS2Client / Network with PS2PSXe. Hopefully it's easy.

Ok cool, I'm going to go ahead and try out some of the games in r202, and I also got my hands on a SCPH7502.BIN so I can see if that changes anything.

I have been testing on r202 (USB and with the SCPH7502.BIN BIOS), how far did you get on Dino Crisis before it froze? It has been doing the stuttering thing with voices but that is about it, I have gotten to the part where you find Gail in the lecture room and he saves you from the dinosaur. I found out that the stuttering loop (when it keeps on going even after the talking stops) to be less prominent later in the game, but the stutturing in their voices is still bearable at least. And also the speed gets better, only slowdowns are in very big areas or like 3 characters on the screen.

I also have to post the images that I have taken, one of the Toy Story Racer/Pong glitch and some others. Also still have to test other games like Parasite Eve. And is there any way to enable the interpreter core?

New testing results, thought I might post them:

    Parasite Eve
    Same SLUS
    r202
    Playable: Yes
Notes: With r202, sound in FMVs work but sometimes stutter. FMV when Eve burns the opera house causes a sound loop bug that keeps repeating, stops when you reach FMV with rat transformation. There is no sound loop glitch after the rat FMV but there I assume there will be more after some FMVs. Fps is the same as in r198, very playable.

    Dino Crisis
    Same SLUS
    r202
    Playable: Yes
Notes: With r202, sound in opening FMV works but there is no video. Talking works but it stutters and sometimes does the sound loop glitch. The sound loop glitch stops after someone talks again but may start up again from someone else. Same texture glitches in r198, not many at all. Same fps in r198, still playable.

I just wanted to let you know that I did Part 1 of the Network "PS2LINK and PS2client" Tutorial. http://psx-scene.com/forums/f292/ps2...uction-105353/

I still need to work on Part 2 where I teach folks how to edit the bat files to adjust settings per game. It's easier to do, than to explain! lol

I'll add your r202 results later today.. going to go eat something!
