I've always wondered if PS2PSXe is based on ePSXe? Click here for more details: Welcome to the official ePSXe website

If not, I wonder if there was a way to port that emulator for the PS2 Console?

    Here are some facts:

I have no idea about if it is based on ePSXe or not but do you know what would be a good emulator to port if you can? DaedalusX64 fo PSP. I know PSP has a MIPS CPU so porting would be easier than a x86 one. N64 on PS2 might be the greatest achieve ever to hit the PS2... I mean PS2PSXe is great achievement already but still.

The last time I checked, ePSXe was a closed source project. So obviously not, it wasn't based on it. The very first versions (non-public) were based on pcsx, but it wasn't working well on PS2 (7-12 fps). So I said to myself "why not have some fun" and started from scratch, trying to get as much as possible from the very beginning (still, I would do it completely different if I were to start over again - man learns all the time). You know the rest of the story.
