Please help re PS1 emulation/swap
Please help re PS1 emulation/swap –
I have a Phat console PS2 im confused on how to run ps1 games. Ive read about PS2PSXE and also about the swap trick.
I have Mcboot and a usb car as well as an original psx game. Whats the best way to go about this. I wasn to play a backup of Suikoden 2
I've asked a million times around here, and I've only gotten a few vague answers;

A Breaker Pro disc, which is basically a Swap Magic that works with PS1 games.
A mod chip.
PSXLauncher.elf, (you'll need a PS2 V9 and up.)
Here's one I've never gotten to work because I have a 30001-R, if you go to the PS2 browser and insert your original PS1 game and wait for the CD icon to pop up, you can use a slide card to pop the tray out, swap for your back up, then re-lock it and select the CD icon, the game should boot.
Another one, still because I have a 30001-R PS2, is using the uLaunchELF's disc control setting, enable it from the option menu, put your PS1 disc in, wait for uLaunch to identify it as a PS1 game and stops the disc, swap with the backup, then select "Launch Disc," or whatever it's called from the MISC folder.
You'll need to check what version of PS2 you have, if you have anything lower than a V9, the last 3 methods won't work.
