How to play PS1 games with FMcBoot
How to play PS1 games with FMcBoot –

I installed free mcboot & can play ps2 games with ESR perfectly,
I have no modchip, I installed FMCB with Swapmagic & ulaunchelf.
I am aware I can play ps1 games with swapmagic, but its annoying to
swap discs everytime I want to play.
How can I play backup ps1 discs with FMCB?

Ok, but the ps2 supports original psx games,
why would you an emulator?
Is'nt there a way just to patch the iso's like with ESR?
I mean in actual fact it just needs to bypass the security check,
you dont need a whole emulator for that.

I've got a question about this emulator to come (if ffgriever isn't too much annoyed by the continuous questions) : will it be possible to use saves that were created with original psx games ? Cause I went to play with one of my old games and found out the disc is dumped, so...

The PS2PSXe emulator beta version uses virtual memory card files identical to those used by the PC-based PSX emulator ePSXe. Such ".mcr" files can be directly reused with PS2PSXe, and all tools and methods intended to help ePSXe users import saves from a real console can therefore also be used for PS2PSXe.

Really? I wasnt aware this was possible, its my understanding SwapMagic will only boot PS2 backup discs and not PSX backups.
Have you done it, or are you just repeating something you've read about, which is of course incorrect?
PS2 Consoles:

SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE

I thought that this was impossible too, but on SwapMagic's site it has a link to a video where they load PS1 backups with it. The link is dead so there's no telling what really happened.

Well, let me try then, i'll be back in a flash
10 mins later...
Right, i tried the dvd based version of swapmagic with a ps1 game...no go there on a slim ps2.
(the swap magic disc itself works fine)
and the cd-based version of swapmagic is to badly damaged to try it (it doesnt even boot at all)
sooo...cant help u there
