    Hi Guys

I was wondering if there was an ELF file like import player lite for the PS2 but for PS1 games and if it was even possible.

Basically I have alot of NTSC games that i'd like to play them on my PAL PS2 without the need to swap disks or use converter programs like PAL4U etc.
My PS2 (9000x model) does have a MarsPro modchip installed and fixes the Y pos on PS2 games but not PS1 games.

Any help or suggestions with this will be greatly appreciated.

You might try running GSM before booting your PS1 game. Normally PS2 code can't have any effect on PS1 mode, bu GSM can force a specific HDTV mode that will influence PS1DRV to boot up in NTSC or PAL as desired. Don't know if GSM's y-axis offset will have any effect, though.

    GSM 0.38 + OPL r655 = Gaming bliss ^_^

I have tried GSM and unfortunately it doesn't work with PS1 games. If there's really no other way than import player I guess I'll have to keep using it then.

    Thanks for the reply

GSM doesn't work with PS1 games using the normal mode settings, no. However, there are specific "PS1" mode settings that are not normal NTSC/PAL modes, but they make PS1DRV start up in the desired mode.

You see, the TV does support NTSC, but I want to play NTSC games on a PAL console without the need to swap disks to fix the Y-POS on the NTSC games

then start the NTSC games directly without import player. when you convert signals is when it f-u-c-ks up the Y-pos. If you don't you shouldn't have a problem

I have tried that before aswell, the only way I can get the screen to center is using the import player.
    PS2: SCPH-90004

i don't know how the mars pro behaves, but in matrix infinity firmware you need to enable PSX screen fix...
